Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is Top Ten Books That Have Been On My TBR List Longest. Anyone who follows this blog will know that I have a huge virtual tbr mountain, that only seems to reduce when I take a trip Down the TBR Hole. The first time I posted one of these posts I discovered that my Goodreads tbr goes back to 2011 when I joined the site!!!
I actually own 4 of these books, Secret Servant and Final Fling books 2 and 3 of the Moneypenny Diaries Trilogy, One Hit Wonder and an audiobook version of between shades of gray. I wonder if I should take them off my tbr to lighten the load somewhat? Maybe I could even add them to my 20 Books of Summer this year to make sure I at least attempt to read them this year? What do you think?
I’m actually not sure which one is the longest for me because I never used goodreads until last year and not the tbr feature 🤔 bleh good luck on finishing those up though!

Sometimes I look at my list and say “what was I thinking?” I think I would read a great review and just add it. I’m def. slower about adding books now, but still can’t help myself!!

I’ve definitely slowed down as well! 😂

Between shades of gray is so good. I don’t recognize any of the others.

The others are a mixture of memoirs and novels.

I’ve just read one of my top ten . The autobiography of Charles Dickenson by Peter ackroyd. I could not stop reading. The way that the author flows seamlessly from Dickenson,s meeting his characters, and back to the life he actually led,is beautiful.

I have read the Westbrook books before the Bond buddy read, and I really want to re-read them now. For some reason i found them much less annoying than other “fan fiction”.

I really enjoyed the first one and don’t why I haven’t read the other two!!

My TBR is out of control. I am determined to get all caught up on Netgalley & read 1/3 of the books known this year. 😳

Good luck sounds like a great plan!

I recently saw Between Shades of Gray somewhere else (no idea where) and now here on your post. I took that as a sign and looked it up on GR. It sounds really good, so I added it to the TBR. I love Michael J Fox, but I don’t read a lot of non-fiction so I’m unlikely to read it. I hope you can get to a few of these this year!

I read One Hit Wonder a few years back so I think they should all go on the Twenty Books of Summer list!

I only know Between Shades Of Gray out of these, but I can highly recommend that title! I really love Ruta Sepetys’ books…

Another voice supporting Shades of Grey. The Moneypenny one looks interesting! And I like your range of memoirs as well.

I totally need to read Ruta Sepetys books ASAP. I’ve only heard great things about them and I think you’ll enjoy them too! I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on Between Shades of Gray. 😀
