I Am Closed to Review Requests Until Further Notice

Hi I’m Nicki I love reading but as my tastes have changed over the years, I’ve become a lot more fussy about what I like to read. I really enjoy fiction, contemporary, historical and women’s, but nothing too romantic and cheesy. I also occasionally read crime, mysteries and thrillers. I like to read a fast paced novel with real dialogue and believable characters. I’ve also started to enjoy children’s fiction more, as I find it can be a lovely escape from what’s happening in the world right now.

If a book doesn’t hook me in the first few chapters it doesn’t make it.

I also enjoy non-fiction including memoirs and biographies, but not the celebrity kind. I like to read about everyday people and their unique stories.

I was part of a reviewing programme for christianaudio.com for over 9 years and have also reviewed for Real Readers, Nudge.com, NetGalley, Readers First and bookbridgr. I joined the reviewing program for Tantor Media and look forward to discovering more audiobooks. I really enjoy listening to audiobooks and find that they bring more depth to the printed page.

Outside of reading I’m a amateur photographer with journal over on blipfoto with an interest in wildlife photography. I also enjoy cooking from scratch but I get bored of the many cookbooks I have in my kitchen, so am always on the look out for new recipes and new cookbooks.
