Nice post! I really want to read The Turn of the Key. I also enjoyed your links. That’s a funny article, though, about Carey Mulligan and the Oscars. I am happy for her and for The Promising Young Woman (well deserved, surely!), but the way she says: “So itβs really cool to see Another Round up for the best picture and best director Oscars.” Really? I mean, the Oscars remain so political and trendy, it is practically sickening. They give out golden statues like candies, whereas before actresses like Vivien Leigh and Joanne Woodward had to practically go mentally insane and work 23 h in a day to earn them. Also, where is Konchalovsky’s Dear Comrades! film in the nominations? Oh, it’s from R-U-S-S-I-A, isn’t it?
Thanks!
