What did you think of The Wild Silence? I read The Salt Path earlier this year and really enjoyed it so am keen to read the sequel!

I didn’t enjoy it as much as The Salt Path but my sister thought it was just as good.

I may have to pick up this Sherlock Holmes to try and get my kids interested. So far I don’t have a reader among them. Well, the oldest two used to be readers, until they hit middle school. Now my oldest (a senior) is asking me to do her quiz on The Speckled Band because she doesn’t want to read it. ๐ Here’s my WWW https://bargainsleuth2010.wordpress.com/2020/10/14/www-wednesday-october-fourteenth/

I loved it and think it’s a great introduction to the original stories.Such a shame that your daughter doesn’t want to read The Speckled Band as it’s such a great story, one of my favourites!

That was the story that introduced me to Holmes as well in high school. One of the best of the canon.

I’ haven’t read much because it’s a Adobe Digital Editions ebook so I have to read it on my PC, but what I’ve read is okay. It’s not out until next spring so lots of time to read it lol ๐
