I picked up Alias Emma this morning too! Also treated myself to Minnie Driverβs Managing Expectations and The Two Mr Psβ This is your own time youβre wasting this morning. I read their first book and loved it!

The Museum of Ordinary People looks like a heavy read but it also looks really good. I hope you enjoy it! π

I heard him talk about the book, where he got the idea for it, at Henley Literary Festival earlier this month. I reckon you will enjoy it. It’s on my wishlist but I daren’t bring any more books into the house this month.

I really want that Mike Gayle book! They finally have the US editions on Goodreads. I also want The Accomplice.
Nice stack, Nickiπ

I certainly want to read The Accomplice too but I’m waiting for prices to drop (6.99Β£ for ecopy and 20.57Β£ for paper copy currently). I however finally managed to bag an ecopy of The House Across The Lake by Riley Sager for 99p. It’s always such a hassle because every time I purchase 6 ebooks on Amazon it is blocked and I have to contact their customer service to reset something so it’s open again for international purchases. I always think a lot how much I want an actual book this way!

That’s a good way to go about book buying. Do you buy much from Kobo?

Ah no, for my reviews I’m always on Amazon so I’m always looking out for deals there. It’s a good point, maybe I should change π

I try and buy more from Kobo now as they are practically the same prices. I joined the V.I.P. club thing (only Β£6 a year I think) and I get points and discounts on most of the books. So in some ways it’s cheaper than amazon!

Oh wow thanks for the tip! I checked and The House Across the Lake is the same price so I could have gotten it there directly (without having to wait 48 hours after the reset and hoping it’ll still be 99p) but then Reasons to Go Outside which I also bought at that price is more on Kobo. I guess I’ll have to compare and then choose the cheapest one π

I’ve not bought any books this week, and now feel that I should go rectify that… π

Not a very big haul this week, Nicki. I know you enjoyed the last Mike Gayle book you read or listened to, so I hope this one is just as good.
