NEVER! I even slide in paper as I get to the end to make sure I can’t accidentally see the ending!

Ooh that’s a good idea Linda, I like it!

It’s not something I ever think about doing to be honest. I can’t see the point. If I wasn’t enjoying a book then I wouldn’t be interested in how it ended. And if I did it out of curiosity then it might spoil the earlier part of the book. In the scenario you describe, it seems unlikely an author would have written a brilliant ending to an otherwise mediocre book. However I can understand the temptation to take a peek if only to confirm it was as bad as you suspected.

I definitely don’t want spoilers either!

Maybe once or twice but I can’t remember which ones. When I was young I often read the very last line before I started reading. Not always easy to shield your eyes from taking in the rest though but it was fun to work my way up to that last line then and get its meaning in the end.

I think it used to be quite a popular thing to do Inge, but I don’t anyone who does it now.

Just a couple of times because I was a scaredy-cat. It got to be too much and I had to know if the main character made it out okay. Forgive me😬

I totally get that Jo you’re definitely forgiven!

Never! In the case you mentioned I just speedread or skim my way through 😂 Hasn’t happened often, fortunately!

I just DNF now if it’s not working for me sometimes even skimming just doesn’t help! 😂

DNF’ing is still very hard for me 😂

I might have read faster but never skipped ahead. It makes hard for me to DNF.

Wow my husband hates to DNF as well Yesha. Personally I think life is too short to read books I’m not enjoying.

my reason is I keep hoping it gets better as the book progress and if it doesn’t I can always give negative review.

Yes I have for 2 reasons: 1. I’ve decided to DNF but still want closure and 2. I’m tense with worry about the characters and I’ll peek to make sure they’re still alive….then I can return to reading with a more relaxed mind set.

Two very good reasons Carol!

No way. I think the most I’ve done is flipped to the end to see how many pages are in the book but I’m not ruining the end of a story for myself!

It’s certainly not something I like to to do either except for that one time I mentioned!

I know those kind of books all too well. I haven’t skipped to the end since university. ❤️

I hope I manage to avoid those books in the future 😂

Isn’t this something a blogger wouldn’t share. 😁 Just kidding. I have jumped to the end of a book in the past, but not in a long time. I used to get impatient when I was younger and it too longer to finish a book, because life got in the way. I can’t remember the last time I did that though as it will probably ruin the book for me.

😀 I haven’t done it for a long time either Carla, and for the same reasons.
