3d333-book2bblogger2bhop2b2528final2529The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

The question this week is:

Are you more likely to read a book based on the synopsis, or the cover??

Great question! I do love a pretty cover, so if it catches my eye then I will definitely pick it up. However if the synopsis doesn’t intrigue me enough I’ll put it down again. I was caught out recently with an eye-catching cover of a book that I really didn’t like, The Idea of You. Fortunately it was only a 99p kindle book so I didn’t waste a lot of money on it. If I’d bought it at full price I would’ve been very disappointed and annoyed that I hadn’t realised it was a genre I never read! So, I suppose it’s the synopsis that’s going to make me read a book rather than the cover!

So what about you, are you a cover or synopsis reader?
