Title: Anything You Do Say
Author: Gillian McAllister
Published: 2017
Pages: 390
What it’s about? (synopsis via Goodreads):
Joanna is an avoider. So far she has spent her adult life hiding bank statements and changing career aspirations weekly.
But then one night Joanna hears footsteps on the way home. Is she being followed? She is sure it’s him; the man from the bar who wouldn’t leave her alone. Hearing the steps speed up Joanna turns and pushes with all of her might, sending her pursuer tumbling down the steps and lying motionless on the floor.
Now Joanna has to do the thing she hates most – make a decision. Fight or flight? Truth or lie? Right or wrong?
How and when I got it: I pre-ordered this one on Kindle as soon as I knew it was coming out, so I’ve nearly had it for 2 years! 🤔
Why I want to read it: I loved Gillian McAllister’s first book Everything But The Truth when I read it as an ARC and just had to have her next book.
A Kindle is like a black hole, isn’t it? Where books go to die 😂
Great description! 😂
I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did, once you get to it!
Thanks 👍
I think they should make Kindles able to talk to you, then they can shout at you to read certain books that you’ve had for so long!!
What a brilliant except I’d turn it off so it couldn’t bother me!! lol
haha!!
This sounds fascinating! Now I’m dying to know how it turns out.
Yes so am I!
Now that you mention it, this is the one Gillian I seem to have skipped 🤔
I thought it was her weakest one, to be honest.
Good to know 😊
Oh that’s a shame.
Do you iwn a copy ir just didn’t fancy it?
I kinda forgot about getting the copy? I read the first one and really liked it and thought: this is one to watch and then I kind of turned the other way or something? And then I picked up her third novel and the second just got away somehow 🤔
So easy to do!
I loved this book so I recommend it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did 🙂
thanks here’s hoping!
Doesn’t that always happen with kindle copies… I have so many on mine that I don’t even know what is on it anymore haha. I do like the sound of this one though.
Yup I dread to think how many I’ve got on mine!
I’m afraid to even check because I know I would feel even more guilty about it. xD
Same here! 😂
I actually really enjoyed this but haven’t read her others so can’t say how it compares to them
That’s great! I loved her debut and have her other books but just haven’t read them yet.
