Stacking the Shelves – 25/05/19

Stacking The Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

My NetGalley Haul

I can’t believe I managed another week of resisting the temptation to browse and request! 😵

  1. You’re doing well staying away from Netgalley. I’m finding it rather easy lately. It’s not like I’m not buying books like a mad woman so the odds I’ll run out of things of to read are quite small 😂

  2. The Woman Who Wanted More sounds good! I love the cover. My netgally ratio seriously dipped recently so I’m staying away too..for now!

      1. You are never too old for books with pictures!
I dig old-school naturalists drawings. Miss Plumtartt is attempting to develop fauna drawing skills.
My acting teacher says we should ‘strive to be elegant observers’.

  3. You’re doing so well at staying away from NG! I had a slip this week when I went to add reviews for four books feeling all good about myself, and then I downloaded SIX more! I’m a lost cause, I need some of your willpower! The Woman Who Wanted More sounds really good, I’m going to add that to my wish list. Happy reading! 🙂
    Here’s my StS:

  4. Go you for not requesting any new titles on NG! I’ve managed to stay away this week as well. The Good Bee sounds interesting and I imagine the hardback copy is gorgeous! Have a wonderful weekend. xx

  5. This post reminded me that I have failed again to write down the new books on my TBR! Bad me! I downloaded The Friend Who Lied for my blog tour date. I received The Chain, again for a tour (didn’t I say I was cutting back on those? xD)
I like the sound of The Woman Who Wanted More!

  6. I am not requesting from Netgalley either. I get tired of not hearing a damn thing from publishers. They just let books sit on my requested shelf and it makes me angry, so the heck with them. I get more authors and publishers through my blog than anyplace else. It is true, though St. Martins always turned me away, but yet get this, one of the publishers contacted me through my WordPress blog to do a tour for Erica Bauermeister author of The Scent Keeper, I wasm like well what the hell! But I am all for pushing an author’s books if I can help so I did 😂 Anyway enough of my rant, have a good one you all 😉
