Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List

I’ve adored the first two Winternight books, so I’m really excited to read Winter of the Witch.
My TTT for this week
I keep hearing great things about these books and can’t wait to get started!
I really fancy the Katherine Arden series!
Yes I’m so excited that I won the trilogy, and now need to find the time to pick them up!
Aha! Always the case. Too many books and so little time…
Just posted mine here! https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/01/29/top-ten-tuesday/
I’ll hope over and have a look!
I’m a huge fan of the “Winternight Trilogy”. I’m happy to see that these books have found place on your TBR. This is a spectacular series that merits its own fandom ! 🙂
Great to know thanks!
The Sewing Machine is fantastic, I absolutely loved it! And I’m just finishing up The Bear and the Nightingale, it was really good and I’m looking forward to continuing the trilogy. Some nice additions to your tbr. Happy reading 😊
Thanks did you review The Sewing Machine?
I did, it was one of the books I read for Ninja Book Box as a potential book for their box, so I couldn’t talk about it at the time. For various reasons, unrelated to the story itself it wasn’t chosen, but I gave it 5 stars!
Good to know as I’m reading it for the blog tour next week.
Nice list, I have got the bear and the nightingale on mine too. Apocalypse any day now looks really interesting too.
Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday.
I know I can’t wait to listen to Apocalypse Any Day Now!
I haven’t heard of Sewing Machine or Apocalypse. I’m curious about both and the Winternight books are just gorgeous ❤
The Sewing Machine is historical fiction set in Scotland and Apocalypse Any Day Now is nonfiction.
Despite its plain Jane title, THE SEWING MACHINE sounds really good. I love family sagas! I hadn’t heard of this one before, but I’m definitely going to add it to my TBR. Thanks for the rec!
Happy TTT!

That’s great! 😀
I’m interesting in The Sewing Machine and the new Jill Mansell. Terrific reads ahead, Nicki! Enjoy!
Thanks 😀
I’m on the blog tour for The Sewing Machine too and just about to start reading it. I’ve seen The Red Address Book mentioned by quite a few people recently.
I want to finish a couple books before I start The Sewing Machine so I can give it my fill attention.
Happy reading!
Thanks!
some fab new additions! Hurry up already and start on The Bear and the Nightingale LOL!!
Okay!! 😂😂😂
Such a great list Nicki! 🙂 I like the sound of these books.
Thanks 🙂
I have been wanting to try Katherine Arden’s series for quite some time. I’m looking forward to your thoughts on those! I bought The Sewing Machine for my mom and I. I thought it would be fun to read together because we both like to sew.
Love that idea of you and you’re mom reading together hope you both enjoy it.
I am still so jealous of you winning that gorgeous trilogy 🙈😂 I read book 1, listened to book 2, but book 3 seems to be getting away from me!
I can’t believe I won them I’m so excited!
Great list! I have a few of these on my TBR as well and I can’t wait to read The Bear And The Nightingale!
Thanks I can’t wait to get started on it sometime!
I highly recommend The Sewing Machine, really enjoyed this book and it’s lingered which I think is the measure of a good read – also enjoyed The Red Address Book which I suspect will also linger…
Great I’m starting The Sewing Machine Machine and looking forward to the Red Address book.
I have heard very good things about the Katherine Arden books!
Same here!
What a great bunch of books! I haven’t read any of those but a few have caught my eye!
Thanks I’m really looking forward to Apocalypse Any Day Now, sound be a very interesting book.
I too hope to explore Katherine Arden’s books someday! Also pretty cool that you added Red Moon on here. It’s the only one I read on this list hahah 😀
Brilliant 😀
