Good morning and welcome to my weekly round up inspired by Novels and Nonfiction. It’s a bit shorter this week and I’m busy volunteering at the library two afternoons a week for the summer reading challenge. It’s my third year volunteering and so far it’s looking like it’s going to be the busiest. So, without further ado grab yourself a comfy chair, a coffee, tea or even or even a 99 ice-cream, (especially if you’re enjoying the return of the heatwave in the UK) and come and have a browse with me.

Here are just some of the great reviews I’ve read this week
Dee’s Rad Reads and Reviews – An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen
Cleopatra Loves Books – Little Liar by Lisa Ballantyne
Reading Between The Pages – A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult
Me and My Books – The Craftsman by Sharon Bolton
Books and Me! – The Wisdom of Sally Red Shoes
Silver Button Books – Canada by Mike Myers
Here are just some fab posts from across the book blogging community
Fictionophile – Cover Love part 59 – Swimming
The Book Review Cafe – TopFiveThursday with Claire at A Knights Reads
Novel Deelights – The Cheesemaker’s House by Jane Cable – Guest Post
Books, Vertigo & Tea – Blogging Life: The Challenges I Encounter With Discussion Posts
Kristin Kraves Books – July Non-Bookish Favourites
On the Blog This Week
The week started started off with me hosting a stop by sharing my review on the blog blitz for The Getaway Girls. On Wednesday I shared my July Wrap Up & Favourite Books of the Month as well as my usual WWW Wednesdays! post. On Thursday I joined in with the Thursday’s Top 4 meme sharing my recent favourite book covers. On Friday I joined in with FlashBackFriday sharing August my reviews from 2017 and First Impression Friday sharing my thoughts of a book I’m currently buddy reading. On Saturday I shared my usual Stacking The Shelves post.

Volunteering at the library….right. Volunteering to read all their books more like! 😀
I wish I had the time to do that! I’m listening to primary aged school children tell me about the books they’re reading for the challenge.
That sounds just as rewarding as reading…you’re cultivating the book bloggers of the future maybe…
It’s very rewarding 😊
Thanks for the shout out Nicki, off to check out some of your recommendations that I’ve missed x
You’re welcome x
Great posts this week from fellow bloggers, love Lorraine’s Top Five Thursday feature a great way to get to know people a little bit better.
The contrasts between the drought and the garden photos was brilliant. I wasn’t aware of the scale of the drought in Australia.
Great posts and links, and thank you for the shout out xx
You’re welcome glad you enjoy reading it all 🙂
Awesome links! I hope you have a great weekend, Nicki! Thanks for the shout out! Happy reading ❤
You’re welcome 🙂
Thank you for the mention! You linked to two of my favourite reviews this week. Yvonne’s for The Craftsman and Cleo’s for Little Liar, which I bought on pub day because of her.
Hope you’re having a fab time at the library!
You’re welcome! The library is great fun thanks!
Thanks for the shout out! Hope you’re encouraging the young readers at the library to become future book bloggers!! 😉
You’re welcome! One of the children mentioned a blog in a book they’d read and my ears instantly priced up!!! 😀
Great links! Oh the world’s most beautiful libraries, that sounds like beautiful pics to look at, yay!
Thanks enjoy the libraries! 😀
Thanks for the links! Volunteering at the library sounds like so much fun! It makes me miss having a good library around…
It’s lovely to see the children sharing their love of books, some of them are amazing!
