Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

You’re the third person I’ve seen who mentioned Eat, Pray, Love this week. It must have been a great read. 🙂
Oh, and I loved Wild.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

Great picks! I’ve only read The Yellow Envelope of these, and while I disliked the book itself, it did make me want to travel.

Thanks! I didn’t realise you’d read it shame you didn’t enjoy it.

I received an ARC of it last year and was expecting to love it, since I was lucky enough to travel in that part of Latin America myself during that time period. Unfortunately I found it hard to relate to and not really a true travel memoir; it was more of a rather self-centered descriptions of her failing relationship with her husband and journey of self-discovery. Not my cup of tea, but I guess that’s the good thing about books; we all have different reading experiences. 🙂

I know what you mean it was a bit annoying in places but the love the adventure side of it.

I guess having actually been in the places she visited in Latin America and notice her negative descriptions of it was a turn off for me… I did like the chapters set in Asia better though.

Fair enough I’d feel that way too!

It’s probably me being sensitive to Latin America prejudices though, since I had to deal with a lot of negative reactions from people when they found out I decided to settle down in Argentina. It’s not like I have a ‘real’ and neutral idea of how the situations in other Latin American countries are, but it does open your eyes living in one.

Wow why would anyone have a problem with you been in Argentina? I would’ve thought it was a very exciting place to move to.

Mostly because of the whole ‘third world’ cliches and why I would want to exchange Europe for living in Argentina… Let’s just say mostly ignorant comments of people who have never experienced the country themselves. It’s especially weird the Dutch don’t know more about the country with the queen being Argentinian and all. xD

I love being in Italy!
Never been to Tuscany though. Almost went to Florence this year for my birthday, but the prices and flight times were so crazy, so i ended up in Brussels instead 😀
