Standalone Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Megan@bookslayerreads. Standalone Sunday was created to let others know about all the standalone books you have loved, but maybe don’t get the attention they need. Megan created the banner as well and anyone joining in can use it too. Why not check out her blog too
The book I’ve chosen for this week is Family Tree by Barbara Delinsky.
“An unforgettable novel about family, race, and the choices people make in times of crisis.
Dana Clarke has just given birth to her first child. The little girl is lovely but no one can help noticing how little she resembles her parents. Dana’s husband, among others, suspects that she may have had an affair. In order to put the rumours and speculation to rest, Dana has to delve deep into her past and her husband’s heritage to unearth some uncomfortable secrets. Can her marriage survive what she finds out?”
I read this on holiday a few years ago and really enjoyed it, it’s one of my favourites written by the author. I’ve noticed on Goodreads that is has a lot of negative reviews and I wonder if you have read it and what did you think of it?
Awesome post!! I love Barbara’s books even though they usually shred my heart!!
Happy Sunday Nicki!!

I have never seen this title, but it sounds like an emotional read possibly. Maybe some had trouble with the way it was presented? I will have to give it a look sometime.

I haven’t read it… but it sounds like a really interesting read that discusses some important issues. I’ll definitely be adding it to my TBR (regardless of the negative reviews!) Thanks, Nicki! 🙂
