Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas/holidays break.
I’m going to try and join in with more tags and memes this year, as well a few challenges and thought I’d start off with this one as it’s the beginning of the week.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at BookDate. It’s a weekly post sharing what you’ve recently finished reading, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan to read this week.
What I read last week :
I loved this Gothic mystery set in modern day Iowa
I won a surprise hardback copy from Quercus, through NetGalley and read it in 24 hours.
Currently reading:
Really enjoying this historical crime fiction set in Europe just before the start of WW2. Published at the end of the month
A different genre for me which I’m enjoying
Up next:

I’m reading The Landmark Herodotus (which is going to take a while) and Strangers on a Bridge (which I thought was going to be a John LeCarre style spy novel but turned out to be the true story that served as the basis of the recent Bridge of Spies movie)

Yes that does look a bit of a tome. Strangers on a Bridge is definitely more my style thanks for the recommendation! 🙂

I hope it picks up for you. I’ved Harry Potter a few times but could never get into them, and haven’t seen the movies as my son enjoyed the books so much.
